Stag or deer

            Deer or stag, a very lovely animal. 

Deer (singular and plural) are the  mammals forming the family Cervidae.The deer family has at least
90 species. Species in the family include the white-tailed deer, mule deer, red deer, reindeer , fallow deer, roe deer, pudĂș and chital. Male deer of all species  and female reindeer grow and shed new antlers each year. In this they differ from permanently horned animals. There are more than 100 types of deer.

Deer are browsers, and feed primarily on leaves. They have small  stomachs by ruminant standards, and high nutrition requirements.Deer are herbivores, they eat leaves, acorns, fruits, twigs and grass.They also consume  bark, twigs, leaves, aquatic plants and roots.

The deer has a light rump patch without including the tail.They live in groups of two to 18 individual. Male deer are called stags, harts, bucks or bulls, and females are called hinds, does or cows.Male deer are commonly called stags. A stag is a male, a deer is used for males and females.There are a range of names for the male deer, including buck, bull, hart and stag.Deer are commonly born with spots on their fur which disappear over time.

Young deer are referred to as fawn, and a male deer that is of a normal size is referred to as a buck. When deer are seen to be in a group together, this is called a herd. Another interesting fact about deer is that within just half an hour of being born, a fawn is able to take its first steps.People like their jumps and dance. Some people want deer as a pet.
